Final Post on Witch Doctors

So this article goes over yet another attempt at a child human sacrifice! A young boy ran away from the doctor and ran until he couldn't run anymore, collapsing by a woman's place. The woman took the boy in and tried to help him. The boy was drugged and was trying to speak. After some calming down the boy was able to speak and was brought to authorities for statements. Later it goes on to talk about this is a normal thing that happens. Then it goes on to explain protection that parents to do on their children to keep the doctors away! Apparently piercings on the child means that the child in "unpure" and therefor unfit to be sacrificed!

This to me is very disturbing! I mean really!? Number one is that their doing what their doing, but the fact that people are saying how common it is for that stuff to happen. My flag raises when I say that something needs to be done. I don't believe people have to get "use" to children being kidnapped and then killed for some money. Although I found the piercings thing kind of interesting, although I wouldn't want to be one those parents that says they don't want to get my child pierced, but to me, I'd do anything to save my child.

There are some key things I've learned about from my topic. One of them is how bad Africa is really suffering. As I surfed the web for articles for witch doctors, the evidence of Africa's suffering keeps piling up! Problems with people losing their children, houses being burned down, and so on. It's just troubling and so they have my pity. The second thing I've learned is how corrupted the countries out there are. I'm not saying Russia is the worst, but to me it seems like it's possible it might get there one day! With all the drug dealing, bribes, blackmailing, and just corruption in general, it's hard to believe Russia is able to keep itself up. The last thing that I've learned from my topics, is how little we actually do to help. My topic was "ignored foreign events" and boy are things ignored! Most of the time America knows the problem, we just don't want to do anything about it. Although with the shape America is in, I'm not to surprised really, but it seems if we don't do anything, then that's just as bad as making it worse.
