LRA Commander Arrested / Final

One of the top men involved with Kony and the LRA was recently captured in the jungle and may be put on trial depending on evidence. The man's name is Acellam and he is the highest ranking former LRA member to leave the army. He may be able to not be charged as long as he participates in trying to find Kony. Uganda's defense minister said he needs to be charged thought because of all the crimes he has done. LRA members are the cause of torture and abuse but thousands of ex-members have been pardoned for participating with Ugandan authorities.

Throughout this portfolio projet, I have learned a lot about Kony and the Kony 2012 Campaign. One significant thing would be that Kony is the leader of the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) and they are really fighting for no reason at all. Another thing I have learned is that the LRA does multiple forms of awful torture. Some of these tactics are making young girls sex slaves and recruiting young boys, forcing them to kill their family or else worse things will happen. One more thing I learned is that people all over the world can come together and try to put an end to something so terrible. The Kony 2012 Campaign started in just the U.S. at first, but then it spread around the whole world and now millions more people know about it. So far, there has been tons of progress, but this won't end until Kony is captured.
