Japanese Website
This source comes from a Japanese Newspaper. It states the Japanese opinion on the North Korean Nuclear Program. This particular source states that the North Korean Nuclear Program is a "Wild Card" within the world. Japan believes that North Korea is selling parts of there nuclear weapons to countries like Syria and Iran to develop there own form of a nuclear weapon. Along with countries like the United States and South Korea, Japan is condemning the actions of the North Koreans. Japan has also had a long line of problems with the North Koreans, most recently with the failed rocket launch. Japan has also been a very strong voice within the fight to stop North Korea's Nuclear Program.
Wow, Japan's position on North Korea is very similar to the United States position. I think the Japanese could be influenced by past events though. I agree that we need to slow down or even stop the North Korean Program, but I do not believe that they are a threat at this time. But then again, I am not Japan that is only a few hundred miles away from North Korea. Throughout the quarter that I have watched North Korea, they have done some crazy and disturbing things. Sometimes they can be harmless, but other times they can be hostile. I believe that the most important thing to do with North Korea is to keep talking to them. If you are talking to them, they can not do anything to harm you.
Some of the most interesting things I have learned this year in regard to North Korea include: there failed rocket launch, there jamming of South Korean Air Traffic, and generally, how crazy they can be. North Korea's failed rocket launch was probably the biggest thing I reported on this quarter. That was a major setback to the North Korean ICBM project. The world breathed of relief after that one. The jamming signal was also crazy to me. Why would you need to jam air traffic control? Well is guess they are just crazy. North Korea may be a big threat to the world, but I believe that they are more talk then action
