abusing humans like animals

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2012/apr/27/lush-animal-cruelty-performance-art
A student of a performing arts school, put on a show of how horrible it is to test products on animals. the animals that were tested on were used to test soap. Jacqueline went through the testing while it was streaming live on the Internet. she was put through several animal test, including force-feeding, eye irritation, and saline injections. Through out the first part of the tests she show no signs of pain.the propose of this video was to seed the public about the awareness of animal testing.

I can't believe she went through this, animal testing is wrong but physically doing it to spread the word is insane. I know that all animals shouldn't be tested on but shouldn't their be a level where somethings are OK to do? Like dog food, or dogie products, i think that should be the limit. we really did talk that much about animal cruelty, but i learned that their is places in the world were it isn't illegal. The second thing i learned is people believe animals are naturally violent, but in all honesty is the environment, and the way they were raised. The last thing i learned was all different kind of animals are being abused all around the world right now...

Final Kony Blog 2012

Kony Invisible Children's campagin all started with the making of a youtube video. The outcomming goal of Kony is to make it more known so that our government will step up to the plate in helping making the arrest of Joesph Kony. While stopping the LRA (Lord's Resistance Army) an army of Kony. The LRA have captured and kidnapped young childern. Women and young girls are to be the LRA's sex slaves, while the young boys are forced to kill their family, and participate in the LRA killings.

Uganda is thankful for the video although it has some short commings. Unganda just wants to live with peace and  without Kony. They appreciate the U.S. efforts to publicize the topic.

When i first started on the Kony topic it was all a movement something that a group wanted to make the public aware of the issues. It truely all soully started from a youtube video.

Another significant thing was the making of a secondy Kony video. Which brought even more of an awareness to people of the situation in Uganda and how U.S. help is still needed.

Thirdly the most exciting news update to read was that of the U.S. troops deploying and setting up camps. This is something the U.S. needed to be involuved in. Kony needs to be stopped and found. Then punished for his war crimes. Learning about Kony made me aware that their are so many world issues that don't get talked about and go on without being addressed.

English Soccer Concerned About Euro 2012 Racisim

The head presient of UEFA, has raised some concern about the players and fans that could be racially abused at the European Championship matches in Ukraine. Athorities have been warning about crazy soccer fans that could cause violence at the tournament this summer, which is co-hosted with Poland. A strong British police force will be present in Poland and Ukraine. This is not the first time European Soccer will be effected by racisim since the pas 2 years, racisim has been present at soccer games.
In my opinion, Soccer is a very popular sport around the world and it's fans are very dedicated and crazy. There emotions run too high and the innocent fans and the hardworing players will be the victums of these violent, un-educated, and racist fans. Police must take a stand to protect the players and the citizens and to also let the soccer games be played. It will be intresting to see if the fans in Poland and Ukraine can be controlled and not disrupt the Euro Cup.
The most significant things I have learned overall on my topic are that racism still happens in Europe and it occurs very often, the media helps the racisim spread, and America's sports are being ruined by racisim. Racism still occurs very often in Europe and is a very big distraction to  the world of Soccer. Racisim over in Europe is like how racisim was in the 50's and 60's of America. It is that bad. Also the media blows things out of proportion and is a main reason on why the Racisim is often brought up in unnessasary times. America's sports are being ruined by racisim today and not just America's sports but the whole entire world's sports are being ruined. So much racisim occurs behind everyone's backs without the whole world knowing it.Things happen off the field that ruin the actual sport. Athletes, coaches, fans, and media need to relize that with racisim, no sportsmanship is shown. Be a good sport by not being racist or judgemental. Just go out and play the game and have a good time.

http://www.vancouversun.com/health/Global+warming+spread+infected+ticks+linked/6256364/story.html

There has been a rapid growth of ticks carrying Lyme disease in Canada, thought to be caused by global warming. They are said to be in 18 percent of spots east of Saskatchewan and is expected to be at 80 percent in 2020. It is said that a high population of white-tailed deer could be carrying the ticks and facilitating them within Canada. Studies show that the warmer areas in Canada, have had a more rapid growth in ticks. Ticks are found mainly in wooded areas. The early sign of Lyme disease is a circular rash at the site of the tick bite. It is often followed by fever, joint pain, head-aches, but is rarely fatal.

In studying global warming in this class, I learned that many people don't believe in global warming, or don't believe that we are causing it. I think the most interesting thing that I learned in studying global warming was how weird things like cows burping or a car charger can affect the environment so much. I already knew that global warming was happening because of gasoline but studying it more in-depth helped me learn a lot more about it. It is also strange that a slight increase in temperature can change so many things, such as an increase in ticks in Canada, or a lot of ice melting. Studying global warming made me realize what people are doing to the only planet we have.

Drug Kingpin could sway election- Collin Lovich

According to a professor at UTEP, the top drup kingpin, Chapo Guzman, could sway the election in his favor. Chapo has a lot of influence with politicians, industrialistist business leaders, and bank and security officials which would all have an effect on the President. He also says that has detected sources of fraud by appling systematic methods. Professsor Lopez also states that Chapo could get away with almost anything he wanted because of the amount of influence he has on people.

Throughout this course, the three most significant things that I have learned about the Mexican Drug Cartel are  that these drug cartels are resourceful, they are extremely violent, and that the U.S. spends millions of dollars on this problem. I always wondered how drug cartels got all of their gun and weapons. They are resourceful, because they pay off who they need to and they get their weapons however they can, even if they have to use a little persuasion. If you try to stop theses cartels they will get very violent so they can have what they want. In most cases they go after your family and cut their throats or cut of their fingers to make sure that you will obey them. And lastly, the U.S. spends millions of dollars on the drug fight in Mexico with little accomplishment. The U.S. is getting smarter with their money by not giving it to corrupt people of arming the enemy.

Final- summary and response

http://www.haaretz.com/print-edition/news/israel-report-west-bank-palestinians-may-turn-to-violence-if-peace-talks-freeze-persists-1.414980

In the Middle East their is stalled peace talks in dealing with the Palestineans and Iraelis land. They have been trying to work things out but have failed to reach any sort of agreement. Palestine has said that they feel they are working agians Israel more than they are working with them for finding a solution. Both sides are very set in their ways as far as their goals go for finding a solution, which makes it difficult to make everyone happy. The longer they wait to come to a conclusion the more the citizens are becoming violent and unhappy. There is inconsistent information as far as what Israel and Palestinean officials are saying, but as of now there is still no solution.

Thoroughout researching this topic, there are a few situations and problems that stand out from the rest. Fisrt of all seeing the different views on the same topic is very interesting and eye opening. For example the Palestineans are displaced in the land they called home for many years, but the Israelis finally have a home after being the scapegoat for countless times in history. Another situation I learned was about the nuclear unrest and how that impacts a country. Israel is the target of many attacks in the middle east and the plan of Iran getting a nuke would be terrifying to them, which would get us involved with having to protect them. Finally it opened my eyes to seeing how involved we really are in the middle east. Israel and Egypt are our largest recipents of forigen aid and that means we all have strong ties to that area because we are large investors and we recieve many things like oil from there, which is vital to the way we run our country. Overall there is alot to be taken away from this project, yet there are still many things to be learned.

Final Blog Post- 2012 US Election

http://www.eurasiareview.com/28042012-the-2012-us-presidential-election-campaign-toward-a-defensible-defense-budget-analysis/ (Europe-Asia aka "Eurasia")

This election before late April seemed to be an election based off of the US economy and jobs. However, it seems that the election has switched to a foreign policy and defense budget election. Because of Obama's recent announcements regarding Afghanistan, Mitt Romney has taken advantage of the opportunity to present his ideas. Obama wants to cut the defense budget, while Romney wants to increase spending on our defense. Since a lot of people's big issue this coming November is spending and also foreign policy, this discussion can link to this "x" amount of people and also link into fixing the economy from the recession.

The three things I've learned from my topic is that; one, the delegate strategy from Ron Paul that people didn't think would work actually works. Two, not popular topics before like foreign policy and social issues are becoming popular with the article above and also Obama and Biden's open support for same sex marriage. And three, this race has been quite a wild one with the sudden lead changes, shock victories, and how far this race really went.
