On March 27, 2012, a DEA agent shot and kill one of four men who were in the drug cartel. The men were looking for assassins to kill an unknown target. The DEA agents, who were undercover, were trying to arrest the men when shots were fired. The man who died was the 18th person who died in the U.S. domestic drug law enforcement operation this year. The undercover operation started in January 2011 and they found out that they were looking for assassins. After awhile, the agents found out about hit and how it was for 20 kilograms of cocaine and $50,000. The month before the member of the drug cartel had stolen three assault rifles and five bullet-proof vests.
I am glad that the DEA stopped the hit and arrested the men. I am not glad about the fact that another person died, even if he was in the drug cartel. I personally think that 18 people dead already is way too high of a number. Overall, I am happy that the U.S. was able to stop the bad guys from killing their target.
On one hand I think better him than the target to be assassinated (having seen the police and the soldiers who have to keep identities secret to protect families) but then I wonder how it is reported so confidently that this information is true... Hmmmm
