This article is about how the Mitsubishi Corporation has helped out with the Great East Japan Earthquake. They have done multiple things to help out, they helped supply emergancy supplies to those in need and they even gave out scholarships for students that were affected by this earthquake. Up to 1,300 employees of MC have volunteered to help out with these issues, by helping clean up the debris and picking up affected homes.
I thought this article was great. I thought it was an awesome idea on Mitsubishi Corporations part to help out with the earthquake, not only was it just humanly to do something like that, but it will really help their business out by being involved. It was a very nice thing for MC to do, and the fact that 1,300 people just from that corporation helped out puts me in awe.
This source is reliable because it gave the sources where they got some of their information from. Plus its international market and base in Japan gives it credibility on issues surrounding Japans problem!
It's great that they're willing to help as a company, but I'm wondering how many employees actually work at Mitsubishi because I bet that's only a fraction of their total workers. Now that's really not fair of me to say because they can't have everyone from their company leave too, and 1300 people is a lot. I think some other bigger companies like Google or Apple should help as well or have they helped already? It seems like they would have enough money and workers to make some kind of contribution to the cause.
ReplyDeletei think thats awesome that a corporation saw that east japan needed help, and did something about it. more places should help more.
ReplyDeleteI think this great! I'm glad there people out there that still care about other's education, esp. since they had to suffer so much, being able not to afford college and what not. So honestly, this is great news!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome that the Mitsubishi Corporation is helping out the survivors of the Japanese Earthquake. They seem to be doing a lot to help. I am a bit surprised that a car company is doing so much to help. It is also awesome that 1,300 volunteers are gong over to help the survivors.
ReplyDeleteI think the biggest step forward from this is that no longer are just individuals coming together to help a cause, but a corporation that is in no way entitled to, helps out Japan in their time of need. It's an efficient way, because these larger corporations obviously have the man-power and the means to accomplish humanitarian acts, yet you hardly ever hear of it. If more companies decided to follow what Mitsubishi is doing, I bet the painstakingly long rebuilding process after natural disasters could become a thing of the past.
