Kony 2012 Sequel Delayed

Absent on date assigned

The makers of the first Kony 2012 video are having trouble creating the sequel that was promised to the public. The sequel was supposed to come out Tuesday April 3rd, but is no delayed to Thursday April 5th. Jason Russell's breakdown about a month ago may have a little to do with the video not being out on time, but the other creators say they were just having problems editing it and that Jason's breakdown had nothing to do with it. The new video will go more in-depth about the Ugandan conflict and will be directed to more of an international audience. The sequel video will also include more voices from the countries where Kony and the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) are currently based. Basically, the video will be more current and will attract a worldwide audience, not just the United States.

I think it's a great idea to get a new video out now because it will put less attention on Jason Russell's breakdown about a month ago. I also agree that the video needs to be targeted to a worldwide audience, not just limited to the United States because if every person in ever country knows about Kony, he will be stopped. It's also a good idea to make the video more up to date and have people speak from other countries in Africa where Kony has been, not just Uganda. One thing I disagree with is that the video being released later than planned has something to do with Jason Russell. If Jason were there helping them, it would make the process faster because it is one more person helping.

  1. I agree about this video. I have seen the video of Jason Russell's breakdown and it did not make him look good at all. I have also heard that any donations to the Invisible Children is that only 30% of it goes to the company. Not sure where the rest goes, but I think they have done a fantastic job getting the word out about Kony. I bet you close to 99% of America had no idea who he was before the video. I think they do find Kony this year though.

  2. I think it is a good idea to make this more world wide, so other countries can learn about what's happening to these people. I'm not goin gto lie though I don't know much about this subject but I do think it is good we are learning about it. Also who ever this Jason Russell is needs to stop complaining or whatever he's doing and help out for this cause.

  3. i think its a good idea to get the video out but it should have happened a lot sooner. if the video was spread a lot faster their could be a chance that we could take and attack him. for the chance to spread the word even more would be amazing even if it means making a new video.

  4. Deadlines are sort of scary. Imagine realizing tha a very important video needs to be edited better, so you give yourself 3 days before the entire world sees it. That's a lot of pressure.
