This article discusses how Africa has struggled to develop after countries gained their independence. In the beginning there are quotes from people who are from Africa and what they were taught when they were younger. The article goes on to clarify that there was not corruption in the making of countries but it was the leader who did not know how to run a country. The article then leads into how it is a result of colonialism because of a variety of reasons. Lastly it finishes up with a brief summary about the victims and how they are were effected by all of the countries dividing up their lands. Overall this article did a good job of covering the parts of colonialism that people would be most interested in briefly so they could get a good idea of what colonialism is about.
I feel like colonialism is the number one reason that Africa is so far behind basically every other continent. The Europeans taking advantage of them was bad enough, but they didn't put any thought into who they put in charge of these countries.
