Mexican drug cartel leaves 10 severed heads in the street as warning to rivals a week before Pope's visit.

A week before the Pope came to visit, an unknown drug cartel left 10 severed heads in the streets of Mexico in a suspected outbreak spot of drug violence. The gang used these heads to scare warn the other cartels to stay away. Seven of the heads belonged to men and three to women , all of them aged between 20 and 35. The bodies have not been found yet, according to the Guerrero state attorney general's office.

This might be sick but I think that this is a smart move by the cartels. Nothing would scare me more than to see 10 heads laying in the street with a sign under them. If I were in a different cartel I wouldn't wander off into their territory. I don't like what is going on and I think that the Mexican police should crack down hard on these drug cartels.

  1. I agree with you that that is one way to scare off other cartels but also, there has to be several different ways to scare them off without murdering 10 innocent people. I get it that its a warning, but I think this drug cartel took it to far.

  2. I think the cartel's will do anything to make sure their businesses succeed. I also agree that the Mexican police/army should crack down on these cartels. Hurting these cartels would be such a relief for Mexico I think.

  3. It is a good strategy, but still cruel in so many ways and it's horrible to humanity. The cartels obviously got the attention of the police and they should be executed for their horrible crimes to humanity.

  4. I agree with Brandon, I think that the Mexican police should try and punish the cartels and make that one of their bigger missions. It would help Mexico so much if these people were dealt with because even though the grouping of 10 heads is a good way to scare off the others.. its very cruel and shouldn't have been aloud to happen.
