Recently, President Obama's re-election campaign has been kicked into high gear as a result of Mitt Romney's all but official rise to nomination. As a result of Obama's increase in campaigning, many claim that Romney was indirectly attacked by a commercial covering the President's decision to eliminate Osama Bin Laden. In response to this commercial, Mitt Romney felt neither attacked nor impressed. According to the New York Times, Mitt Romney simply dismissed the President's boast by claiming that "even Jimmy Carter would have given that order."
First let me start by saying how proud I am of our government and military for acting to protect us American citizens. President Obama made a gutsy call last year, and it resulted in the death of the world's worst and most elusive terrorists. As far as I am concerned though, almost any President from the past would have made the same decision. While Obama may be proud of his decision, boasting about it through TV advertisement may take it a little too far. Regardless, Mitt Romney handled the situation well by not drawing more attention to the issue than it deserved and by stating his true opinion on the matter.
I feel that Mitt Romney sees President Obama as real competition and he will do anything to try to get an advantage, or attract attention to himself whether its positive or negative he really doesn't care.
